A workshop to repair the boats on the port200 direct jobs created in Barahona

BREAKING NEWS: BARAHONA. - A private company will set up in one of the ports of the city, a workshop to repair the boats, which will create more than 200 direct employments in the area.

The Evangelic Pasteur Ruperto Medina Beltré, representative of the M y D Reparaciones Marinas company explained there they signed a contract with the Dominican Harbour Authority (APORDOM).

This will generate a lot of employments for the families.That will benefit to all the province of Barahona he underlined.

He declared that technicians, whose plumbers, electricians and welders worked on this project. Concerning the environment, he explained that nothing will be made against the natural resources. The boats have floating tanks to store the waste which they produce.

He added that they decided to rent the mole number six where was located a floating station in the past, but which is currently abandoned.

Medina Beltré underlined the fact that the company was going to develop this port thanks to the great quantity of people who will work there.

Barahona has immediate needs which require immediate answers, not answers for the future, he specified.
