Provincial Gobernation of Barahona highlights women’s labor

On the occasion of International Women’s DayBarahona coast

BREAKING NEWS: Barahona.- Governor Eddy Mateo Vasquez highlighted the work of women of this community in a ceremony held to mark the International Women’s Day.

MateoVasquez highlighted the gender policy for women, ordered by the President Leonel Fernández.

As women we must remember Barahona valuable in art, as Maria Montez and Cassandra Damirón, who put it up before the world this province, said Mateo Vasquez.

He highlighted that in its history the country has the active participation of dozens of women in different aspects of human endeavor, which have played a crucial role, including quoted Maria Trinidad Sanchez, Concepcion Bona, Yolanda Guzman, Ercilia Pepin, Mirabal sisters, Mama Tingo, among others.

During his administration has allowed women to have more opportunities in their professional training, improvement of quality of life and positions in public administration.
